Thematic confirmation points continue to roll in
We are back from the shortened trading week last week, and investors have a jam-packed week between the latest inflation data, August Retail Sales, a number of investor conferences, the return of the Detroit Auto Show and triple options expiration late in the week. Concern over earnings expectations for the balance of 2022 continue to build with The Wall Street Journal reporting analysts continue to cut estimates for the current quarter.
