Why the Fed May Not Be as Enthused as the Market with the May CPI Report
Not wanting to risk being head-faked means more good data will be needed
I had the opportunity to discuss this morning's cooler-than-expected May CPI report and what we're likely to hear Fed Chair Powell say later today when the Fed concludes its latest policy meeting with Brad Smith and Seana Smith at Yahoo Finance. As you'll hear, while today's report was positive, it would be surprising to see it move the Fed off of wanting to see more good data.
