Talking Cybersecurity with Netography's Martin Roesch
The Atomized Network and why time to solution is critical
While we at Tematica are able to produce some impactful research and get a deep understanding of how and where companies generate their revenues, we find it is always insightful to talk with the industry leaders, public and private companies as well as their competitors, suppliers, and customers. In this conversation, Tematica Chief Investment Officer Chris Versace recently sat down with Martin Roesch, CEO of cybersecurity company Netography, to talk about the company’s focus on securing what has come to be known as the Atomized Network. This name comes from the distributed nature of modern networks given the rise of Work-From-Anywhere as opposed to the centralized and firewalled networks companies maintain at their physical locations.
In this conversation, Chris and Martin discuss how there really is no end in sight to the growing threat of cyberattacks. They discuss the nature of the Atomized Network, why ransomware attacks are increasingly prevalent, and what up and coming threats Netography is seeing. Martin also shares why R&D spending will continue and, also why increasingly, time to solution is critical for cybersecurity companies to win business.
The key takeaway is that this conversation supports the notion of a healthy allocation to cybersecurity. Further, given new connective technologies like 5G and WiFi 6 not to mention developments in 6G and WiFi 7, these faster connections are enabling the growth and evolution of the Internet of Things which, as we have talked about before creates a lot of convenience but also a lot of new potential attack vectors for hackers to exploit.
